Validators & Nodes

Whitelisted Validators

At launch, we will have a set of whitelisted validators hosted by trusted partners such as Treasure’s Core Contributor Team, our RaaS provider, and a leading security firm. As the network grows, this will be expanded within reason. These nodes will defend the chain and engage in the Nitro fraud-proof game if a fraudulent state root is submitted.

Watchtower Nodes

Watchtower nodes are permissionless and can independently verify the chain. Unlike validators, they do not participate in the fraud-proof game. As these nodes are permissionless, there is no upper limit to the number of watchtower nodes, and thus, anyone can run one.

Partners interested in running nodes can reach out to the Treasure team for further information.
